adjust tunable file system parameters on ext2/ext3/ext4 file systems
Tunable parameters enable you to remove reserved blocks, alter reserved block count, specify the number of mounts between checks, specify the time interval between checks, and more.
You can also use tune2fs to add a journal to an existing ext2 or ext3 file system (neither of which includes journaling by default). If the file system is already mounted, the journal will be visible in the root directory of the file system. If the file system is not mounted, the journal will be hidden.
